Kilimanjaro Marangu Route
The Marangu Route, also known as the “Coca-Cola Route,” is the only route on Mount Kilimanjaro (5,895m) with hut accommodations instead of camping. It is considered the easiest and most direct route to the summit, with a gentler ascent compared to other routes. However, due to its shorter itinerary, the acclimatization process is more challenging, leading to a lower success rate.
The Marangu Route typically takes 5 to 6 days, with the 6-day option recommended for better acclimatization. This route ascends and descends on the same path, which makes it less scenic than other routes but still offers stunning views of Kilimanjaro’s diverse landscapes.
